The third edition of the time-honoured opening event of the automotive season, often referred as the ‘Royal Ascot for cars’, once again will showcase some of the greatest supercars, across three days of themed celebrations.
Taking place April 18-20th on the prestigious lawns of the historic Royal Hospital Chelsea, Salon Privé brings together modern and classic vehicles, culminating with a ‘Concours de Vente’. Putting a unique spin on the traditional Concours d’Elegance, where cars are strictly for show only, however, at this very special event all 75 cars on display are for sale.
Each day of Salon Privé is dedicated to certain automotive icons.
Porsche Day and McLaren Masters
“This year, we have an unbelievable trio of special themed days to really bring Salon Privé London alive,” said director David Bagley. “We will be the first event in the world to celebrate 50 years of the famous Porsche 911 Turbo, and I’m delighted that an ultra-rare right-hand drive Lightweight will be one of the stars of the show.
On Friday, it will be all things McLaren, including the fantastic Elva, while Saturday will see SCC members deliver our family-focused day a sensational supercar spectacle. Every one of our themed days for 2024 is certain to be special.”
Supercar Saturday
Supercars already confirmed include a Porsche 918 Spyder, McLaren Artura, Ferrari F12 TDF, Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS and a Koenigsegg CCR.
The partnership with SCC is fitting for Salon Privé London’s family-focused Saturday, as the club’s primary goal is to enable members to enjoy their cars through experiences such as this, fostering a community of like-minded individuals who share a passion for high-end vehicles.
With more cars being confirmed all the time, guests are guaranteed to be wowed on Supercar Saturday.
Boodles ‘Best Hat’ Competition
While geared towards car enthusiasts, the three-day celebration includes an array of activities for art, culture, and luxury lifestyle lovers as well. For instance, a particularly glamorous day on the lawn with Friday’s elegant Ladies’ Day, offering everyone to enter the Best Hat competition with a chance to win a spectacular piece of Boodles jewellery.
You’ll struggle to find a spring event in London bigger and more elegant than Salon Privé.
